"The greatest gifts we can give our children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence."
~ Maria Montessori
Your child’s Montessori Primary Program is based upon research in child development and education and has been carefully designed to offer your child a well-balanced, individualized learning opportunity. Its many aspects are thoughtfully created to build skills appropriate to the developmental needs of the young child and to respond to and meet your child’s needs, including pace and interests.

Why Montessori?
Fostering Independence and Joyful Learning
#1
Child-led Learning
In our authentic Montessori environment, each child develops a love of learning, a sense of community, and a sense of self-worth. This is possible because the child absorbs content and develops skills in a way that is natural to the child and supports success.
#3
Fostering Creativity and Independence
The children also help maintain their Montessori Children’s House. In this prepared environment you will find beauty and order, concrete materials using all of the senses, thoughtfully prepared materials which isolate difficulties and foster independence, and a freedom of movement and choice.

#5
Individualized Instruction
Montessori curriculum is designed so that children learn through hands-on experience and problem solving. Children are born curious and creative, and lessons are designed to spark imagination and teach self-reliance.

#2
Thoughtful Design
The prepared environment is a combination of a carefully curated physical learning environment and the social, emotional, intellectual atmosphere of that environment. It is prepared and maintained by the director and teachers.

#4
Using Technology to Connect School and Home
With the aid of a record keeping app called Transparent Classroom, we will make every effort to keep you informed about the kinds of activities in which your child is engaging at school, so that you will feel confident that your child’s time at school is greatly contributing to his or her educational growth and overall developmental foundation.

#6
Research-based Curriculum
The five main areas of focus in our curriculum include Practical Life, Sensorial, Math, Language, Geography & Culture. Additional studies include Art and Science, all taught in a classroom with a low student-teacher ratio.
